September Match and October State Mid-Range Championship Reminder

The next Palmetto Gun Club Match will be held on September 9th.  This will be a 3×500 yard Mid-Range match.   WE WILL BE SHOOTING OFF THE GRASS AT 100 YARDS.   If the grass happens to be too tall or the ground too wet we will move back to the covered line and shoot either a 300 or 600 yard match.  This is an NRA approved match. Drinks and snacks are provided.  Registration and setup starts at 8AM and the match begins at 9AM.   Again, the match accepts credit/debit cards. There is a $1 service fee on top of the match fee to use a credit/debit card.  Match fee for all shooters is now $20.00

 State Mid-Range Championship

Palmetto Gun Club will host the F-class and Prone mid-range state championship, Friday October 13th – Sunday the 15th.  Open to F-class, Service Rifle or Match Rifle shooters. There are three matches totaling 6 – 20 round targets.  Two targets at each distance of 300, 500 & 600 yards.  Friday is registration / practice. Come out and get some practice in before the scored matches!  Saturday and Sunday matches will be fired for record. Estimate 150 rounds including practice and sighters.  Match fee is $85, which includes lunch Saturday and Snday, with a T-shirt. Palmetto Gun Club Presents The South Carolina Mid-Range Championship

The event will most likely sell out in advance so do not wait until the last minute to register. There are only 32 available spots  total and they are filling up fast. Register NOW.

 Additional opportunities to shoot

There are additional opportunities in the area to shoot F-class and Prone.  Please check out Mid Carolina Gun Club, which holds a 300-yard match.  In addition, the Palmetto State Marksmen Association shoots at Ft. Gordon.  That club shoots a 1000-yard match.  Check with those clubs for more details.
